Practice Guides
The New Mexico Safe Exchange & Supervised Visitation Program (SESV) was established by State Law and Supreme Court rule to allow New Mexico children to maintain healthy relationships with both parents and protect them from violence in times of crises. You will find documentation of both on this page.
The New Mexico SESV Court Standards establish minimums with which all the NM District Courts’ contracted service providers must comply.
They address:
- staff qualifications and training
- safety and security procedures
- program responsibilities
- basic administrative requirements for program operations
The New Mexico SESV Best Practice Manual (BPM) presents a model for providers to follow that allows for accurate and effective assessment of the SESV program.
The BPM presents:
- consistent program goals
- objectives
- a blueprint of the program that conveys the mission, goals, and objectives of the SESV Program.
